Jacobi Asset Management: Launch of European Spot Bitcoin ETF This July

The Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC) granted regulatory permission for the Jacobi Bitcoin ETF in October 2021. It will start trading on the Euronext Amsterdam Exchange in July under the ticker BCOIN. Fidelity Digital Assets will provide custody services, and Flow Traders and DRW will act as market makers to facilitate trading. CEO Jamie Khurshid said: “The Jacobi Bitcoin ETF will enable investors to access the underlying performance of this exciting asset class via a well-established and trusted investment structure.” Bitcoin Spot ETF CEO Jamie Khurshid, a former investment banker for Goldman Sachs, founded Jacobi Asset Management in 2021. The company has experience managing digital assets and comprises “a diversified team of blockchain, technical, investment, and regulatory specialists.” Khurshid believes that the ETF will give investors access to the fundamental performance of this asset class via a “well-established and reputable investment framework.” Jacobi wants to “simplify and familiarize” digital asset investments for institutional and professional investors.
